Our annual Crab Boil is coming up this February, and each class is providing a "basket" with a different theme as part of a fundraiser for our Garden Aide. If you are interested in helping, it would be greatly appreciated. There are two ways to contribute: 1. donate $5 to your child's teacher, or 2. talk to your child's teacher to find out what "theme" your class needs, and purchase specific items for your class. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Feel free to contact the school or office for more information as well.
Rachel's Challenge is an anti bullying awareness program and assembly that will be visiting the entire MUSD School District this September. Rachel's Challenge began as a result of the Columbine massacre in Colorado and carries a very important message. Please feel free to attend this assembly with us on September 10 at 2:30 p.m. in our multi use room. There is also a community meeting which I encourage you to attend on September 11 from 6 - 7 p.m. in the Tallman Gym (adjacent to the high school). For more information regarding Rachel's Challenge please visit: www.rachelschallenge.org.
Please join your child for breakfast at Cobb School on Friday, September 21 from 8 - 8:45 a.m. We look forward to getting a chance to catch up with you and enjoy a meal together. It is a good opportunity to slow down and take some time with your child. We also gladly accept feedback regarding your experience here with us!
Please join us on Saturday, September 8 from 5 - 10 p.m. at the Pine Summit pool. This event is a fundraiser, to support the Elementary Instrumental Music Program. This event was held for the first time last year and was a huge success! This family event proved to be a fun family night out. Food will be available to purchase, as well as a silent auction and live music. Be sure to wear your swim suit, or if you prefer, bring a lawn chair and relax the night away! This event is not only for a good cause, it is also a whole lot of fun! Hope to see you there!
