Drop off and pick up of students at the Middletown Campus should take place on the eastern side of the Cafeteria for Cobb students. A teacher from our school will be standing outside overseeing students there. Please don't tell your students you'll pick them up by the buses as the area is highly congested.
Please make a plan with your child as to how they're getting home each day. We now have 5 different buses instead of 1. It's so important for the buses to leave by 2:50 so they can get to their stops. Traffic is highly congested, as you all experienced, so please do your best to plan travel time accordingly, and don't be surprised by bus delays. We're doing our best in this difficult circumstance.
The district is working hard on a busing solution for a Cobb route. Many stops are burned out and unsafe for children. I'll let you know more as time goes on.
Older siblings of children in the after-school care program will be walked over by a teacher to the Minnie Cannon campus to Mrs. Fischer's Kindergarten room to be picked up.
Lastly, thank you for getting your children to school! Our first day was a success! We had 129 of our 156 registered students in attendance on day one, and more are expected today.
