Dear Parents,

Recently, your child was given an envelope regarding Friday, April 27th Relay Recess. Relay Recess is an elementary school event tied to Relay for Life, an event to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. This inaugural event is being spearheaded by Cobb alumnus Alexis Calbert, a senior at Middletown High School.

On the day of the 27th, students will go to several stations where they will participate in a physical activity. Upon completion of each activity, student will earn a ticket. Those tickets will be collected at the end of the day by their teacher.

Students can also earn tickets by getting contributions from family and friends. For every $10 raised, students will earn an additional ticket. Please have your child bring all contributions by Friday, April 27th. Checks can be made payable to The American Cancer Society.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Marc Morita at marc.morita@middletownusd.org or (707) 987-1450 x 5006.

With much appreciation,

Marc Morita
