Attendance Challenge

The Lake County School District is gearing up for a groundbreaking attendance challenge that aims to boost student attendance and engagement. From February 3 to May 3, students across the county are encouraged to attend school regularly for a chance to win attractive prizes.

The initiative, dubbed the "Lake County Attendance Challenge," is designed to promote consistent school attendance and enhance the overall learning experience for students. The challenge is open to all students in the county, and participants have the opportunity to win cash prizes and support local businesses.

Key Highlights of the Attendance Challenge:

Monthly Grand Prize: Students with a remarkable 95% attendance for the entire month will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a grand prize of $500. This monthly reward aims to motivate students to maintain consistent attendance throughout the academic calendar.

Weekly Local Business Drawings: For those striving for perfect attendance, students with 100% attendance for any given week will be entered into a weekly drawing for a $10 gift card to a local business. This not only encourages regular attendance but also supports the community by promoting local businesses.

Cobb Elementary School Principal Scott Ferguson, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, stating, "We believe that regular school attendance is fundamental to a student's success. The Attendance Challenge is an exciting way to instill the importance of consistent attendance while providing students with incentives to strive for excellence."
